Gina Thelemann (Chair) – Gina earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Women’s Studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. It was also at Madison that Gina first developed her love for assisting non-profit organizations with their communications strategies. Gina currently works as a digital marketing specialist for Edina Realty, and she also coaches dance team throughout the Twin Cities Metro. With two state medals under her belt, Gina’s proudest moment as a coach came in 2011 when her high school team was awarded the MSHSL Class AA Sportsmanship Award.
Mike Nelson (Vice-Chair) – is a graduate student getting his Masters in the Arts of Teaching with a Licensure in 5-12 Social Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mike graduated with a Bachelor’s in History at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota. Education has always held precedence in his household. His father was a schoolteacher early in his career and taught the importance of educating everybody. Mike started his own business and has passion both in education and business.
Laura Hanson (Secretary) – is an AmeriCorps volunteer with the Minnesota Food Helpline, a part of Hunger Solutions Minnesota, a non-profit organization that works to end hunger in the state of Minnesota. Laura graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris with degrees in Global Business and Spanish. Growing up the daughter of a public school special education teacher; education was always a priority in her household. Throughout high school she tutored 2nd and 3rd grade students in the Minneapolis school district after school, and spent time in college coaching soccer for the local community education program.
Michael Wilson (Treasurer) – works at Ameriprise Financial Services as a Financial Advisor. Michael was awarded First Year Top Achiever at his posotion within the firm. His interest in helping others plan for their financial futures arose from his humble upbringings as well as his work helping low-income families understand basic personal financial principals during his final year of college when he also was put in charge of handling his St. Cloud’s endowment funds. Michael Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. Cloud State University.
Brandon Agneberg – is a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise where he went to work immediately after graduating from St. Olaf College with a degree in economics. Brandon’s hard work and dedication have continued to pay off, Brandon was awarded First Year Top Achiever at his position within the firm. At St. Olaf Brandon played both football and baseball.
Ross Steinfeldt – is a tax associate at Lurie Besikof Lapidus and Company, LLP, an accounting firm located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ross has worked full-time in the tax department at LBLCO since January 2012, and is entering his second tax season with the firm. Prior to beginning work full-time, Ross worked at LBLCO as an intern in the tax department while completing his Master’s in Business Taxation at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. Ross performs tax compliance, planning, and research services for individuals, all types of business entities, trusts, estates, charitable organizations, and private foundations. Ross also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Josh Thelemann (Executive Director) – is an Elementary Education Major at Augsburg College. Josh Currently works for the Hopkins Schools District and has prior experience in nonprofits working for Opportunity Partners, where he was a learning options instructor for those with disabilities. Prior to his work at Opportunity Partners, Josh worked with individuals with autism. Josh has worked/volunteered in the following schools districts, ISD 1, 270, 280 and 281.
